James Cooper, the owner and driving force behind Halligan Outdoors Guide Service, has lived and breathed the outdoors since he was just eight years old. Growing up, James spent countless days hunting and fishing with family and friends, building memories that shaped his lifelong passion for the wild. Some of his fondest childhood moments come from crabbing, frog gigging, and fishing alongside his grandpa in Pitkin, Louisiana. Later, he chased whitetail bucks and frogs across Ohio before eventually moving to Wisconsin, where his outdoor journey continues today. Through Halligan Outdoors Guide Service, James has turned that lifelong passion into an opportunity to share authentic outdoor adventures with others. Whether it’s ice fishing, bowfishing, or Wisconsin’s only frog-gigging guide trips, James still chases the dream every day—and invites others to join him on the water and in the field.
